Women of Faith
Wendy and her husband had just started a church when a friend invited her to Women of Faith. Wendy had never heard of Women of Faith and didn鈥檛 know anything about the events, but when she got the invitation Wendy鈥檚 response was 鈥淟ove Jesus, will travel!鈥 In the video below Wendy tells how she was radically transformed by her experience . . . and what that has meant to the women in her church.
鈥淲hen I stepped into the Des Moines arena that overcast Friday morning,鈥 Wendy says, 鈥淚 had no idea that God was setting me on a path to stir up my passion for Him, heal my heart and ultimately equip me with the desire to bring along other women to experience such an amazing adventure.鈥
The Lone Girls
Wendy asks, 鈥淗ave you ever seen little girls playing on a playground, but there is one little lone girl off to the side, by herself just watching the fun? Then, all of a sudden, another girl runs over to the lone girl, invites her to play, grabs her by the hand and runs with her over to a group of girls playing. That鈥檚 the picture I see when I think of my journey with Women of Faith.聽 I was a lone girl, admiring from a distance, but then I was invited by another girl to join her and her group of friends and now we are all doing life and loving God together! I have decided to 鈥榩ay it forward鈥 and be the lookout for 鈥榣one girls鈥 who simply need to have one 鈥榮omebody鈥 notice them, invite them in, take them by the hand and bring them into the fellowship of other girls.鈥
You, too, can be part of the fellowship and encounter the 鈥渞eal, true, living God鈥 at the Women of Faith Believe God Can Do Anything 2013 Tour. Find an event near you.
I still after all these years and having trouble making friend in school today today I suffer the blues feeling alone worthless like no one cares about me. I really don’t have no friends now. but I wish I did in ways to make me stronger get guidance to see what else in this world im missing out on. it gets to be lonely out there. being the only female in the house w/ 3 boys and a husband. im again the only woman in here. so I can relate to her issues that she once had. lecrecia…
Dear Precious Lecrecia! I have just read your post and I am praying for you as I type! Please be encouraged that this may just be a season you are going through. I pray that the Lord will send you a God-centered, loving women that you can connect with and enjoy life with! Ask the Lord to send someone your way and you can even get plugged in at a local church and meet other ladies that way. Blessings, Love and Prayer to you my Sister.
GOD wants to fill that void in ur life, so FIRST look to Him. The whole world of people could not fill that special place in ur heart that HE has set aside in each of us for HIM. I pray for myself & will also for u that God will bring people into our lives that will help us grow in Him, & keep people away from us that would be a hindrance to that. I LOVE alone time, cuz that is when I sincerely talk to God about EVERYthing & enjoy the JOY, LOVE, encouragement He gives me. You are so very right, we were not made to be alone. We NEED each other. I wuz like you, feeling alone. Once I started praying for God to intervene, He got into action & I cant keep up with Him!!!! He has given me a group of friends that I can share anything with, & I thank Him for them!! I pray that He will do the same for you—& I BELIEVE that He will. “We have not because we ask not”. As long as we seek Him FIRST, He WILL give us the desires of our heart. “. Sometimes it is during those times of feeling alone that He draws us closer to Him. ” ALL things work together for the good of those who love The Lord”. When we grasp that, we realize that even what seems to be the “bad” times in our lives, He WILL bring something GOOD from them. I pray Gods love & blessings for you!!
Hi Lecrecia, I just noticed your comment to the above, and would like to say that “You don’t have to be alone.” There are so many women that are always seeking new people to enter their space. I just became a member of Women of Faith approx. a month ago and have only really met one other person, and she was on linked in. However, visit my website at http://www.mvpateministries.com and leave me your email address. I often give teleconference calls/teleclasses and always meeting new women. I plan to go this event in Phila later this year….Hope to hear from you on my website as well.
Thank you so much for this testimony. I saw this email and knew it was something I needed to hear today. Looking on the outside, I only sometimes wish I had the ability to be that “one” person that will bring and gather others and yet sometimes I lack the courage to do so. That’s my goal by the end of this year is to be that “one” woman in my area to bring others to Christ and find more courage. Thank you again!!! God bless you.
Lecrecia, I hope you will seek friends by attending a church. Maybe you already do go to church, but if you have not found friends there, seek another church. You don’t mention the ages of your children, but I would encourage them and your husband attend also. My husband doesn’t go to church with me, and if yours won’t go, go anyway. God is good. Pray. Good luck and God bless. Maralee
“Jesus, touch Lecrecia as only You can do. Saturate her in Your loving, comforting presence! May she find the strong, Christian friends that You have for her and may she be a strong, Christian friend to others! You are good, Lord, and I thank You that You know Lecrecia and that You love her. Thank You that You have a future and a hope for her! We will keep our eyes on You, Lord!”
