THE Book,
al-An`am 6:154-157; al-Ahqaf 46:12; al-Baqarah 2:2,44,53,79,85,87,101,121,144,174,176,213,285; Âl 'Imran 3:7,20,23,48,78,81,100; an-Nisa' 4:46,51,105; al-An`am 6:155; ash-Shu`ara' 26:1; al-`Ankabut 29:47; Ha Mim Sajdah 41:41; al-Ahqaf 46:12,30; al-Fath 48:29; at-Tur 52:2
Notice that the Torah and the Injil was called "The Book" and was
sent down to the two parties before Muhammad, while the Qur'an was
called "a Book" in the above verse.
In
al-Fatir 35:31,
it is said that the Qur'an was nothing more than a revelation from
the previous book. Muslims, however, take this to mean the
Mother of Book.
