MURJIYA
A school of Islamic though which held that no Muslim would
be called to account for his sins until after the Resurrection,
and that none, however bad he might have been, would be eternally
lost. These philosophers were named Murjiya - or Putters off.
This theological school developed mainly under the Umayyad
Caliphate with its immoral leaders, see Sir William Muir's

Its Rise, Decline, and Fall [Chapter 59], but this thinking
is quite prevalent in the Muslim world to this day.
