MU'ALLAQAT
The Mu'allaqat ("Hanged" or "Suspended") were poetry composed
by several pre-Islamic Arab poets including
Imru-ul-Quais,
Antar, and
Zuhair. They were called
the "Suspended" because they were said to have hung on
the walls of the Kabah.
