JABR
(refered to in an-Nahl 16:103, according to Al-Baidhawi), one of the
Christians Muhammad listens to while they recite Torah and
Injil. (Hughe's Dictionary of Islam). He was a People of the Book,
and well-read in Torah and Injil (Hussain). He became a Muslim and
was persecuted cruelly for believing in divine inspiration of
scripture (Pickthall).
