Did Jalal Prove Craig Wrong?

"Absolutely not!"

Jalal Abualrub claims "I have proven Craig wrong in a debate." He and his fellow Muslims are so excited about this achievement they have issued press releases regarding it, and have featured claims attesting to their triumph on dozens of sites. Only one problem: their claim is not only untrue, Jalal actually proved that neither he nor his religion can be trusted.

Before we get to the substance of the debate, we want to thank Jalal for his inaccurate portrayal of Islam. And we want to thank his Muslim friends for their zeal in promoting his deception. Had Jalal been honest, the debate would have been relatively meaningless. But by being so openly false, Jalal proved that we were right about Islam. Further, by promoting Jalal's specious victory with such fervor, Muslims have confirmed just how deeply troubled they are by the testimony of Prophet of Doom-Islam's Terrorist Dogma in Muhammad's Own Words.

Should Jalal have done what he claimed, it would have been a significant triumph for Islam. While there have been hundreds of books written on the religion, there is none that so convincingly proves that Muhammad was a fraud, and that his religion, god, and Qur'an were created for no other reason than to satiate its lone prophet's lust for sex, power, and money. Prophet of Doom uses Muhammad's own words and deeds to prove that he was a terrorist.

Rather than dealing with the overwhelming evidence in Prophet of Doom, all of which was collected from Islam's own earliest sources, today's Muslim apologists, like Jalal, distract their audience with misleading claims and spew lies, often amidst a tempest of slander. The practice is pathetic, and it is universal. But unfortunately, their approach is effective because most audiences are uninformed about Islam and are not yet sufficiently motivated to verify these statements for themselves.

To begin cleaning up Jalal's trash, we must first deal with the allegation that is getting the most play in the Islamic world. Jalal did not "prove Craig wrong in a debate on the Mike Gallagher Show." What Jalal did was make a "straw-man argument"-one that Craig not only destroyed, but with it, Jalal's credibility as well as Islam's.

Jalal's entire argument consisted of a singular challenge. He demanded that Craig prove that either the Qur'an or Sunnah ordered Muslims to kill women and children. Jalal didn't bother to mention that Craig had never made that claim.

While the Islamic Sunnah, made up of the Sira, Ta'rikh, and Hadith, Islam's oldest sources, depict terrorist raids in which Muhammad and his Companions murdered women and children, that was the exception rather than the rule. The Sunnah confirms Muhammad's normal routine was to enslave women and children he and his raiders had pillaged, so this terrorist behavior was confirmed and endorsed in the Qur'an. Therefore, Jalal was building what's called a "straw man" in debate context. By doing so, he demonstrated that he was incapable of an honest discussion and that his religion was indefensible.

The reason that Jalal used this distracting and dishonest tactic was because he knew, after talking with the host, that Craig would not be allowed the time to read the required testimony needed to explain why Muhammad and the first Muslims preferred to enslave women and children rather than murder them. And if he tried, Jalal knew that Craig would have no time to focus on the actual theme of the debate-that being the connection between Islam and terrorism. If your purpose is to mislead, this tactic is brilliant.

While there is overwhelming evidence in the Qur'an and Sunnah, as you shall soon see, to prove the enslavement claim, to do so in his portion of a forty-minute debate, Craig would have had to ignore all of Jalal's false claims, avoid the debate topic, establish the validity of the sources he was using, establish the context in which they were revealed and acted out, and then read and document sufficient evidence from these sources to avoid the charge of "cherry picking the worst verses out of context."

By posturing this straw-man argument, Jalal was able to keep the audience away from hearing all of the scriptural evidence which depicts Muhammad as a terrorist and slave trader. He was free to attack without being hamstrung by reality. Well, that was the plan, anyway. What you are going to discover is that in his attempt to present a taunt that he knew was impossible to refute, Jalal actually shot himself in the foot.

Despite interruptions and ranting during the show, Craig managed to refute the false claims Jalal made. And ultimately, he addressed Jalal's taunt head-on, by reading the 7th verse of the 8th surah from the Ahmed Ali translation of the Qur'an. After doing so, Mike Gallagher asked Jalal, 'Does the Islamic Ahmed Ali translation of verse 8:7 read: "God wished to confirm the truth by His words, wipe the unbelievers out to the last"?' Jalal answered with an emphatic "Absolutely not!"

So if the Qur'an says this, Jalal, rather than proving Craig wrong, proved himself to be a liar. It would also mean that even if the Qur'an does not specifically order Muslims to kill women and children, it certainly doesn't exclude them from the wholesale eradication decree for all infidels. And if what Craig read was accurate, beyond proving that Jalal was a liar, it revealed a premeditated plan to deceive his audience, giving adept listeners an insight into the devious nature of a good Muslim.

Craig has a long history with Jalal, one that you can read in the feedback section of ProphetofDoom.net under Muslimbeciles. Craig understands the man's nature and style, and is repulsed by both. And it was these traits that came to light in the debate on the Mike Gallagher Show.

A year after Craig had retired from confronting Islam to work on Yada Yahweh (http://www.YadaYahweh.com), CAIR (the Council on American Islamic Relations), Islamic imams in Texas, as well as the NAACP due to its allegiance to Louie Farakhan's Nation of Islam, met with Mike Gallagher. They coerced him to air their agenda. All they had to do was explain how they had "influenced the careers" of talk radio show hosts in Washington and Los Angeles who had told the truth about Islam, and who had stood their ground when asked to recant. So Gallagher's producer called Craig, explained what had happened, and told him that Mike desperately needed someone to debate a Muslim of CAIR's choosing. Craig recommended people who were still actively engaged in refuting Islam, but they all rejected the offer, saying that public debates on Islam are counterproductive because Muslims are too undisciplined to debate and because the American audience is too ill-informed to distinguish evidence from opinion, fact from fiction.

After a month of pleading, Craig relented, so long as Mike Gallagher agreed to host the discussion as an actual debate. The topic was to be focused and singular: Do the oldest Islamic sources encourage terrorism? It was to be point and rebuttal, all evidenced from the original Islamic sources. Mike specifically agreed that he would not allow the Muslim to commandeer the debate and distract attention away from the topic as all Muslims are wont to do. Craig even sent Mike the mutually agreed debate rules in writing. He also sent Gallagher a complete copy of his prior correspondence with Jalal, the Muslim of CAIR's choosing, so that Mike would know what kind of snake with which he was dealing. Yet by the time the hour of the show had arrived, with the threats of Muslims fresh in his mind (and probably in his studio), Gallagher not only reneged on the agreement, he actually ended the debate by saying: "Jalal, this wasn't a bad day was it? I think this was pretty productive don't you think?" There is only one reason Mike would be so intent on trying to please the Muslim.

Jalal took the debate off track with his opening statement, a straw-man, demanding that Craig prove that the Qur'an and Sunnah says: "Muslims should kill women and children." In addition, while this is hard to believe, he actually asked: "Where does the Qur'an asks Muslims to hijack something and fly it into a building filled with civilians?" Since airplanes wouldn't be invented for 1300 years, this may go well beyond building a straw man. He even asked to show where the Qur'an asked Muslims to "explode themselves" and "go to churches and explode them," nearly a thousand years before the means to explode anything existed. Therefore, based upon Jalal's argument, if the Qur'an doesn't include airplanes and explosives in its arsenal of weapons, then Islam must be peaceful.

Jalal had done the exact thing about which Craig had warned Mike. From second one, he derailed the discussion about whether or not Islamic scripture promotes terrorism, and Mike Gallagher did nothing to reel him in. He never even mentioned the agreed upon topic nor the fact that Jalal's behavior was following the pattern predicted weeks before by Craig.

Mike had obviously bowed to the pressure of Muslim threats on him and his show, and had allowed this vile man to successfully keep the debate from addressing Islam's writings regarding Muhammad, Allah, or what defines a good Muslim. Craig initially tried to keep the discussion focused by laying out the evidence from Islamic scripture that encourages Muslim terrorist behavior-holding his response to Jalal's taunt off to the last-as is appropriate in a debate format.

While Craig obviously sidestepped Jalal's allusions to airplanes and explosions, he ultimately confronted the main thrust of his straw man directly. Craig quoted one of many Qur'an verses that tell Muslims to kill all non-Muslim infidels. Initially from memory, Craig said that the 8th surah reports: "Allah wished to confirm the truth by his words: Wipe the infidels out to the last."

Jalal said that there was no such verse in the Qur'an, saying that it absolutely does not exist. So, after a commercial break, Craig opened his copy of the Ahmed Ali translation, the most popular and contemporary English version of the Qur'an, which was translated by a Muslim and paleo-Arabic scholar. Craig found and read the conclusion of Qur'an 8:7: "God wished to confirm the truth by His words, and wipe the unbelievers out to the last."

Jalal continued to claim that the verse wasn't in the Qur'an, so Craig provided the translator's name, as well as the verse and page number from which he was quoting. He read the verse a third time as Jalal continued to deny its existence.

So it all boils down to this: If verse 8:7, from the Spoils of War surah, on page 154, of Al-Qur'an, a Contemporary Translation by Ahmed Ali, copyright 1993, and published by Princeton University Press, Oxford University Press, and Akrash Publishing in Karachi, Pakistan, says: "God wished to confirm the truth by His words, and wipe the unbelievers out to the last," the debate is over. The verse exists, Craig was telling the truth, Jalal was lying, and Islam's god did order Muslims to kill all non-Muslims, and that would include women and children.

If you take the time to investigate this for yourself, you'll notice that older English translations of the Qur'an render this passage metaphorically, and speak of "cutting off the roots of the disbelievers." Since the entire subject of the 8th surah is the battle of Badr where Muhammad's Muslims attempted to raid a Meccan caravan, Ahmed Ali astutely recognized that the subject of the verse wasn't plants, but rather people, and that to cut something off at the roots was to wipe it or them out, so that they were no more. As further evidence he was right, in the Noble Qur'an translation the verse reads: "Allah willed to justify the truth by His Words and to cut off the roots of the disbelievers (i.e. in the battle of Badr.)"

Craig dedicated the "War Made a Profit (and Prophet)" chapter of Prophet of Doom to this battle and surah. We encourage you to read it because if you do, you will clearly understand that Muhammad's and Allah's intent was to fight and kill all non-Muslims and all peaceful Muslims until Islam was the only religious and political system on earth. If you are unfamiliar with the violent theme of Islam, you should take the time to experience the Qur'an for yourself, and the 8th and 9th surahs are as good of a place to start as any. Because the Qur'an is a jumbled mess of chapters, neither organized contextually nor chronologically, you can jump in anywhere. We ask you to do this so you can verify for yourself that what we state about Islamic scripture is in no way isolated nor misinterpreted.

It is even more important that you verify the writings for yourself if you are one of those who hopes and assumes that even if a line like Craig quoted exists, that it must be an anomaly. For, how could a "religion of peace" have such an open-ended and encompassing edict to destroy anyone who chooses not to submit to it? Those of you who hold an opinion like this about Islam, consider yourself forewarned. For if you do decide to actually learn about Islam for yourself, your "all people are basically good" and "we all worship the same God, just in different ways" wishful thinking will be destroyed.

At the end of the show, Craig had begun to read a passage that actually does isolate a woman - and mother of five children - for execution. But Mike Gallagher, wanting sufficient time to placate to Jalal, abruptly cut Craig off. The Hadith from which he quoted comes from Ishaq's Sira, or Biography - Islam's oldest written source. It speaks of the murder of a journalist - or "poet" as they were known as in Muhammad's day. This woman, Asma bint Marwan, had spoken critically of Muhammad, telling her tribe to be wary of him. She said: "'You obey a stranger who encourages you to murder for booty. You are greedy men. Is there no honor among you?' Upon hearing those lines Muhammad said, 'Will no one rid me of this woman?' Umayr, a zealous Muslim, decided to execute the Prophet's wishes. That very night he crept into the writer's home while she lay sleeping surrounded by her young children. There was one at her breast. Umayr removed the suckling babe and then plunged his sword into the poet. The next morning in the mosque, Muhammad, who was aware of the assassination, said, 'You have helped Allah and His Apostle.' Umayr said, 'She had five sons; should I feel guilty?' 'No,' the Prophet answered. 'Killing her was as meaningless as two goats butting heads.'" (Ishaq: 676)

Although this presents an answer to Jalal's taunt, one that happens to be from the second-earliest and second-most important Islamic source, we know, as does Jalal, that the Qur'an doesn't specifically tell Muslims to kill women and children. That is because they were more valuable as slaves. So by using this defense of Islam, Jalal has actually led us into the bowels of the depravity of Islam. Bear with us as we unravel Jalal's taunt.

Craig documented hundreds of examples in Prophet of Doom where the Islamic scriptures say that Muslims either raped captive women or sold them and their children into slavery. You'll find the most interesting and revolting of these in the "Islam's Holocaust" and "Blood & Booty" chapters of Prophet of Doom.

In the Qur'an's 33rd surah, Allah, speaking of Muhammad's terrorist raid on the Qurayza Jewish settlement in Yathrib, today's Medina, says: "Allah took down the People of the Scripture Book. He cast terror into their hearts. Some you slew, and some you made prisoners. And He made you heirs of their lands, their houses, and their goods, giving you a land which you had not traversed before. And Allah has power over all things." A second translation of this Qur'an verse reads: "And He drove the People of the Scripture down from their homes and cast panic into their hearts. Some you killed, and you made some captive. And He caused you to inherit their farms, houses, wealth, and land you have not trodden. Allah is ever able to do all things." (Qur'an 33:26).

Islam's earliest historian, and the first to write a Qur'an commentary, al-Tabari, filled in the details for us. "The Messenger of Allah commanded that all of the Jewish men and boys who had reached puberty should be beheaded. Then the Prophet divided the wealth, wives, and children of the Banu Qurayza Jews among the Muslims." (Tabari VIII:38) Friends, that's about as black as black gets.

Muhammad's first biographer, Ibn Ishaq, the only Muslim to write anything about Islam's lone prophet within 200 years of his death, paints another dreadful picture: "Then the Apostle divided the property, wives, and children of the Qurayza among the Muslims. Allah's Messenger took his fifth of the booty. He made known on that day the extra shares for horses and their riders - giving the horse two shares and the rider one. A Muslim without a horse got one share of the spoil. It was the first booty in which lots were cast." (Ishaq:465)

Casting lots is a gambling game, and happens to be expressly forbidden by Islam. So why lots, you may be wondering? The reason is two-fold. First, the religion of Islam was a joke to these fellows. They simply used it as a tool to justify their disgusting behavior. The first Muslims were less religious than Hitler's S.S. Second, the mercenaries needed to be given an order in which to draft Jewish homes, property, businesses, women, and children. Muhammad didn't want them squabbling. Some sex slaves were prettier than others.

If you think that our assessment that women were given as sex toys for prolific Muslim murderers is too harsh, consider this passage that describes what Muhammad did with one of his top draft picks. "The Prophet selected for himself from among the Jewish women of the Qurayza, Rayhanah bt. Amr. She became his concubine. When he predeceased her, she was still in his possession. When the Messenger of Allah took her as a captive, she showed herself averse to Islam and insisted on Judaism." (Tabari VIII:38)

If the writings of Islam's first historian aren't proof enough for you, here is another perspective from the first biographer to chronicle the prophet's revolting life: "The Apostle chose one of the Jewish women for himself. Her name was Rayhana. She remained with him until she died, in his power. The Apostle proposed to marry her and put the veil on her but she said, 'Leave me under your power, for that will be easier. She showed a repugnance towards Islam when she was captured." (Ishaq:466) Muhammad raped Rayhana after killing, enslaving, and plundering her family. If you want to understand the doctrine of submission, put yourself in her sandals and gaze deeply into the eyes of the man who is abusing you. Imagine the horror of being the sex slave of the man who had murdered your father and your brothers. Imagine being forced to have sex with a man who had given your mother up to be raped and had sold your sisters into slavery to buy swords so that he could torment others. It's chilling - perversity on an unimaginable scale. Muhammad may well have been the most vile human to have ever lived.

Yes, I said that Muhammad murdered his rape victim's father and brothers. Here is proof: "Allah brought down the People of the Scripture Book. I forced the Qurayza from their homes and cast terror into their hearts. Some you slew, and some you took captive. You killed their men and enslaved their women and children. And I caused you to inherit their land, their dwellings, and their property. Allah can do all things.'" (Ishaq:468)

All Muslims, including Jalal, would attest to the fact that the Sira, as Islam's lone biography of its only prophet, is as important as any Islamic scripture. And as a good Muslim, Jalal was intimately familiar with the slaughter, rape, and enslavement of the Qurayza. It was a watershed event for Muhammad and serves as a foundational example to this day for Muslims. So, after reading, "You killed their men and enslaved their women and children." from Islamic scripture, we ask you to reflect back on Jalal's challenge to find where the Qur'an and Sunnah say to kill women and children. If you do so, you'll understand Jalal's deception and the depravity he worships and defends.

Just in case this amazing evidence supporting our accusations about Jalal and Islam is not compelling enough, let's keep going so that you are assured that these are not isolated passages. By bearing with us a while longer, you will also get a small taste of how stories glorifying murder, rape, slavery, plunder, hate, and fear are repeated, replayed, and dominate Islamic scriptures.

Bukhari, who compiled the most revered Hadith Collection, had this to say: "Sa'd [one of Muhammad's militants] came riding a donkey, and when he approached the mosque, the Prophet said, 'Get up for the best amongst you.' Then the Apostle said, 'O Sa'd! These people have agreed to accept your verdict.' Sa'd said, 'I judge that their men should be killed and their offspring and women should be taken as captives.' The Prophet said, 'You have given a judgment similar to Allah the King's Judgment.'" (Bukhari:V5B58N148-B59N447) Another Hadith, or Oral Report from the Prophet and his Companions, reveals: "They then surrendered to the Prophet's judgment but he directed them to Sa'd to give the verdict. Sa'd said, 'I give my judgment that their men should be killed, their women and children should be taken as captives, and their properties distributed.'" (Bukhari:V5B59N448) A third Islamic Hadith proclaims: "The Nadir and Qurayza violated their peace treaty, so the Prophet exiled the Nadir and then he killed the Qurayza men. He distributed their women, children and property among the Muslims." (Bukhari:V5B59N362)

And what do you suppose the Muslim militants did to their women? The Qur'an says that they forced them into prostitution. The Hadith says that they raped them. "I entered the Mosque, saw Abu, sat beside him and asked about sex. Abu Said said, 'We went out with Allah's Apostle and we received female slaves from among the captives. We desired women and we loved to do coitus interruptus.'" (Bukhari:V5B59N459)

As for the claim of mass murder: "The Jews were made to come down, and Allah's Messenger imprisoned them. Then the Prophet went out into the marketplace of Medina (it is still its marketplace today), and he had trenches dug in it. He sent for the Jewish men and had them beheaded in those trenches. They were brought out to him in batches. They numbered 800 to 900 boys and men." (Tabari VIII:35/Ishaq:464)

"The Apostle slew them in their own town. With our troops he surrounded their homes. We shouted out cries in the heat of battle. The Jews were given the Scripture and wasted it. Being blind, [the illiterate man said] they strayed from the Torah. You Jews disbelieved the Qur'an and yet you have tasted the confirmation of what it said. May Allah make our raid on them immortal. May fire burn in their quarter. They will no longer ruin our lands. You [Jews] have no place here, so be off!" (Ishaq:481)

We saved some of the worst for last... "The Qurayza met their misfortune. In humiliation they found no helper. A calamity worse than that which fell upon the Nadir befell them. On that day Allah's Apostle came to them like a brilliant moon. We left them with blood upon them like a pool. They lay prostrate with the vultures circling round." (Ishaq:480)

These poetic lines were also recited during the Islamic Holocaust: "We attacked them fully armed, sharp swords in hand, cutting through heads and skulls." (Ishaq:470) This could serve as Islam's byline: "We were steadfast trusting in Him. We have a Prophet by whom we will conquer all men." (Ishaq:471) All means all, that's all "all" means.

Here are Ishaq's next three lines depicting peace, love, and tolerance - Islam style: "Muhammad's Companions are the best in war." (Ishaq:472) "Muhammad and his Companions humiliated every doubter." (Ishaq:473) "Allah commanded that horses should be kept for His enemy in the fight so they might vex them. We obeyed our Prophet's orders when he called us to war. When he called for violent efforts we made them. The Prophet's command is obeyed for he is truly believed. He will give us victory, glory, and a life of ease. Those who call Muhammad a liar disbelieve and go astray. They attacked our religion and would not submit." (Ishaq:475) If these words don't make you sick, you are probably a Muslim.

Since Craig said that children were enslaved rather than killed because it was more profitable, consider this his proof from Islam's first historian: "Then the Messenger of Allah sent Sa'd bin Zayd with some of the Qurayza captives to Najd, and in exchange for them he purchased horses and arms." (Tabari VIII:39)

The debate is over; the case remains closed. Islam is a terrorist manifesto. Jalal didn't prove Craig wrong; he instead opened yet another door that allowed Craig to prove that Islam is wrong and that Muslims are deceitful.
